Due to the Archives collection move, the Miami University Archives will be closed from Monday, April 11 – June 1, 2016. The collection consisting of materials chronicling all aspects of Miami University (1809- ), Western College (1858-1974), and Oxford College (1854-1928) history will move from its current location at 1 Withrow Court to the Walter Havighurst Special Collections located on the 3rd floor of King Library.
The staff will have intermittent email access and will respond to requests via Archives@MiamiOH.edu

The Miami University Archives supports the mission of Miami University and the Miami University Libraries by facilitating equal access to materials chronicling University history, administrative business, and teaching activities. Archival materials include manuscripts, publications, maps, photographs, memorabilia, plans, electronic records and official records documenting the history of Miami University. These materials will normally be permanently retained in the Archives.
Archival records may be accessed online through our ArchivesSpace instance.
In accordance with the vision of Miami University and the Mission Statement of University Libraries, the University Archives serves the university, local and international communities by collecting, preserving and providing access to primary resources on the culture and history of Miami University 1809 to present.
The Miami University Archives are part of the University Libraries Special Collections Department. The Archives contains manuscripts, publications, photographs, and artifacts dealing with Miami University history. It also houses many of the surviving records and publications of Oxford College for Women, one of the first U.S. Protestant schools to confer the Bachelor of Arts degree upon women. The Archives is dedicated to acquiring and preserving any and all materials directly related to Miami history. Primary sources are available in a variety of media including audio and video.

Materials produced by or about the university such as administrative records, policies, catalogs, biographical information about faculty and alumni, Miami publications, photographs, and other documentary media.
Reference copies of monographs reflecting the history of Miami University
The Miami University Libraries welcomes the donation of materials appropriate to the mission and scope of the Archives, as determined by the University Archivist.
